Pink's Coffee Press manual lever Espresso
Pink's Coffee Press has been designed from the start to be a joy to use as well as making seriously good espresso anywhere, anytime. What makes a Pink's Coffee Press special is that it stays hot just by adding more boiling water to the Concentric Chamber. The outside chamber keeps the lever press machine hot and the inner chamber is the pressure cylinder.
Believe us when we say it's a serious espresso machine. It has a pressure gauge to dial your lever action pressure for consistent finely tuned pulls and it comes complete with a Commercial 58mm naked portafilter and ridge-less professional filter basket. Now its possible to have it made to order in Billet Brass, now this is something no other non electric espresso machines can provide, get something no one else has. Contact us for your order

Brass is Best!! A chance to own something made for you, unique and very rare in the world of non electric espresso machines, last forever!!
A simple lever pull in solid brass. Brass feels quality, pushes an amazing shot which is indicative of quality materials. It feels like a good solid heated brew group when you use it. But even if you don't use it this is one piece of amazing art in your kitchen that everyone can appreciate is something to last forever. We have chosen not to use a gauge with this model to show off the brass but you can have one fitted if requested What makes Pink's Coffee Press special. The key is in the concentric water chambers but this time we've left these open at the top. Both chambers are filled with boiling water. The outer chamber is simply like a cup of boiling water around the inner chamber. This heats up the group head and machine to be consistently very hot. The inner chamber is separate and used for making espresso. The lever lifts the piston all the way out making the inner chamber easily accessible to quickly fill with boiling water. Dropping the lever lines up the piston automatically and reinserts the piston perfectly in the chamber without fuss. You can pull the shot straight away and keep going as fast as you can boil water and re-stock your portafilter. Perfect for queues of campers or just at home. |

Got any Questions ?
What are concentric chambers ?
Pinks manual espresso machines are designed to ensure the machine remains hot to pull the perfect espresso time and again. Our machines have a concentric 'hot water jacket' around the pressure chamber to keep the pressurised water hot. Simply add more hot water to the outer chamber to keep the inner chamber at the right temperature.
Is it really easy to use ?
We think it's the easiest manual lever machine available. The portafilter is commercial grade for speed and durability. You just pour in boiling water into the top of the machine, pull the lever and pull your shot. The piston auto-aligns with the chamber and the pressure gauge makes easy to get the perfect espresso every time.
How do I make many espressos
It is not necessary to keep replenishing the outer chamber with boiling water in normal use. One fill of fresh boiling water is enough and go directly ahead and make espresso or many espresso shots, it will continue to get hotter repeated use. The only time that you may want to replenish the outer heating water is if you leave the machine for an extended period of perhaps greater than 10mins and want to remake a coffee. Also if you are operating outside and making coffee in the open in a cold environment you may want to replenish the heating water but this should normally never be needed.
What do I receive in the box?
The Box contains. Machine, Base , Portafilter and 58mm professional ridge-less filter basket, Removeable lever arm, Allen key and bolt for base attachment and removal, Drip tray and stainless drip tray grate, Operating manual, Wooden box made in NZ with PE foam kit for repacking for adventures.
What is 6061 alloy and why do we use it?
Alloys, such as 6061 aluminum, ,mix the pure metal with two or more other metallic elements to create a hybrid substance. The new alloy blends the properties of each of the elements to result in a stronger, more durable and more flexible metal, suitable for a specific purpose. 6061 aluminum is used extensively as a construction material, most commonly in the manufacture of automotive components. The 6061 alloy is well-suited to the construction of yachts, motorcycles, bicycle frames, scuba tanks, camera lenses, fishing reels, electrical fittings, couplings and valves. It’s used in the construction of aluminum cans, and the inside foil wrapper on food containers is often made with 6061 aluminum alloy. Aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloys are also used in wide-span roof structures for bridge decks and arenas.
How does the brass one perform
We think the Brass machine is even more effective at retaining heat in the group portafilter side. So the difference between Brass and alloy is that as the water gets into the portafilter the portafilter will be slightly hotter and the shot slightly darker. We modelled this machine even thinner in the concentric chambers to keep as much heat in brass underneath where the portafilter is so that heat will travel that way fast where there is naturally more brass material in the turn to lock area which is ideal because where there is more brass there will be more thermal mass and more heat for longer. The square shape shows off the flat sides that can be polished up so you can literally see your face in the side of the machine.
What is the preheating procedure?
Preheating is very fast and easy. Place the lever handle down with the piston inside the chamber. Now boil the jug and pour freshly boiled water directly into the centre chamber over the piston. Three critical areas of the machine are heated at once using this technique. The boiling water fills the central pressure chamber and covers the piston then overflows automatically to the outer heating chamber. Stop filling when the outer chamber is nearly completely fill about 90 % fill is good. Then leave the machine for 2 minutes. Then lift the lever up and the hot water around the piston automatically ejects also into the outer heating chamber. This is why we leave a gap at the top of the outer chamber when filling up so the overflow once hot from the inner chamber nicely ejects into the outer with no spilling of water. From there you just make your espresso by filling the now empty centre chamber and pull the lever down which will automatically align and you bring it down. The preheat heats the piston, the inner chamber and the outer chamber all at once with one pour of boiling water over the centre piston. Very simple and fast.
